Is it possible to add a "neutral option" to the scaling? Use case is that sometimes not all options do apply to everyone. So usually a participant would not give an answer for the one which doesn't apply, but have to do it in order to submit the answer in the Pulse widget.
Unfortunately allowing participants to vote with ‘0’ if an option doesn't apply, will shift the mathematical average and makes the evaluation of the survey within the widget unusable.
A "real" neutral option could maybe help in that case.
This would be very helpful to add. An additional idea would be to add the option to state a reason for not answering. For example if someone uses the "neutral option" a free text field appears to state the reason.
Yes, please!
Thanks for bringing this up. How this could be implemented? Can you give examples of that in the context of Howspace and Pulse widget?
I think the easiest way would be to have a tick mark option next to the scale. Once you click that option the scale is greyed out and the answer is not counted towards the result. The user would still be able to answer the other questions within the same widget and hit send to submit their answers. If another Pulse Round would be started the user will be asked again.
The background is that sometimes users cant answer a question in the first round but might be able to contribute in the second round. Our current workaround using several widgets and using 0 as a "neutral" option carries its own problems. For instance is 0 not a "neutral" option since it is shifting the average. Also by using multiple Widgets we are losing Howspace features like the radar-graph to show results.
Thanks. Makes sense!
