Renaming the page templates requires renaming the workspave name of the page template. Changing the name if the page does not chamge the name (title) of the page template.
I personally know and understand why it works like this, but it is confusing for the template creators and editors.
My suggestion is > if the name of the page in page template is changed, that would be enough = changes the name of the template in template collections.
