Limit number of available places in a Live widget

This could empower facilitators in large online meetings to use a number of parallell Live widgets on a page to get people into for example 1-on-1 or trios for reflection exercises. I would for example choose 40 available for each widget if I want people in breakout groups of 2 ppl (with a facilitator in each widget).

I think even in our internal use here at Howspace this would have been needed multiple times. What I have seen used instead is booking widgets for "joining the group" and then joining the live widget with the same name. This would make this more simpler for both facilitator and participants.

Seems like you have "real live" use experience of the need then, better than my forseeable scenario 😉👍  The way I would "work around" right now would be to have "Knocking" and then just letting in the desired amount and then updating a text box below to "Room full"... but that is a very ugly work-around filled with extra steps, split attention for facilitators and user confusion with page updates etc.

I'm thinking that it could be an integration of some code from the booking widget? Might also be nice to integrate with the "Knocking" (to see a countdown of how many spots left to let in to the Live, if Knocking is selected). 

One tip, that I have used is to give instructions for the participants to check out how many people have already joined the meeting and not go to the room where the max amount is in use. We organized once a big event for the university students, and we had tenths of therapists online, and we used the knocking feature to allow participants into the meeting. 

And, yes the limit could be added to these settings

Thanks Ilkka, yes, the Knocking feature is of course the current best option. Do I as a user knocking get any "current head count" from the room? re:

Amazing if it could be added as an automated feature in those settings 🌟

AND This is a feature that I am wanting to experiment with for our upcoming Global IDG Summit in October (with thousands of participants online!)

We decided to push this to our backlog. No ETA yet.
