Image placement in image widget

Would it be possible to add an option to the image widget to change the placement of the image in relation to text? At the moment the widget places the image below the headline and possible text content, like so:

If I want to place the image next to the text, I'm having to do it with two separate widgets: e.g. text widget on the left, image widget on the right.

Could we have an image widget where the admin decides whether to place the image below the text, to the left of the text, or to the right?
