I know Howspace is not meant for project management, but I have several times encountered the need to keep track of activities from week to week. Like if a person is to report if activities x, y, z have been carried through, either completely or partly. Could Pulse be used as a start, but instead of all participants answering, there would be one appointed person that submits the results and everyone would then see it.
I am not sure I understand this 100%. Can you give concrete example of the use case Louise?
Could it be a separate "task widget"?
Yes Ilkka, absolutely!
Should we rename this idea to "Activity Tracking / Task list"?
All the examples of real live use cases would be super helpful when designing such a feature.
Task widget works fine! Case: A group uses Howspace for their meetings. They decide on a number of actions/tasks to be done. Each task has a responsible person. The admin adds a task widget. All participants can then add tasks to the list and also who is responsible. When a task is done, it is marked "done" (green). When the task is started, not completed, it can be marked "in progress" (yellow). There might be different opinons what would work best here. Some might argue that it would be good to be able to move tasks that are in progess forward on a scale. Perhaps from 1-10, or 0%-100%. (Is it 40% done or 90 %?) Also deadline for the task would probably be a great thing to have.
Thanks Louise! Makes sense to me now. I updated the title to "Task widget".
Thanks Louise! We have some draft already done. Would you like to see the drafts?
Fast working! 😃 Yes, please! Send it to my gmail-address!
Hi, I'm interested current status of the "Task widget". If available, it would be an answer to my prayers as a member of the "multiorganisational workspace manager group". The list of individual task to perform in right order is so long that "sticky notes" would take a way too much room and cause significant scrolling especially in mobile device. I could use simple list "Name of the to-do item and three tick boxes for "not-yet / in progress / done". Importing task lists e.g. text format would be superb.
Would it be possible to have answering rounds in the task widget covering possible daily/weekly/monthly follow ups on certain tasks? E.g. certain security tasks executed and checked daily and possibility for the manager to check that these have been done.
