What is the feature or improvement you'd like to see?
An option to set an alarm for when the timer runs out - preferably a set of different sound to choose from. Maybe an option to play a sound when there's one minute left on the clock.
What problem would this feature solve for you? Please describe the situation where it would be most helpful.
We use the timer widget in study retreats and other kinds of group activities, mostly to mark a time when everyone needs to be back on the meeting, headphones on and so on. In the retreat meetings we have talk for a bit, then we set the timer on and everyone focuses on their individual work for a duration of 25 minutes or so, and after that we talk for some more.
Some of our users have voiced wishes that a chime or some kind of alarm would be nice when the timer runs out / is about to run out. It would help them be mindful of the time when we continue in the live widget, wether or not they are joined in on the meeting or not.
How often do you face this issue, and what's your current workaround?
We use the timer multiple times a day most days of the week, so it would help us a lot. At the moment we have no way of notifying users that leave the meeting for the duration of the individual work time. For those who stay in the meeting, we just open our mics and start talking to signal return to the meeting; our participants would like to get some sort of alarm before this, so that they could pick up the meeting at their own pace before anyone starts talking.
